Sun Room’s “Cadillac” Is a Garage Rock Driven Track

Southern California natives, Sun Room, are starting off the new year strong with their new exhilarating single, “Cadillac.” The grunge rock-style song is off of their upcoming EP Outta Their Minds.

This new track echoes 60s rock bands with its raw vocals and intentionally rough guitar parts. The cover art accentuates these timeless inspirations with its bright colors and old-school fonts. Solidifying its classic garage rock status, the single’s outro features an intense and thrillingly quick increase in tempo that is the cherry on top of this intoxicating track.

Lyrically, the band speaks of insecurities about money and class. At its heart, lead singer Luke Asgian says, “‘Cadillac’ is a rambunctious garage rock song about being too broke for a girl.” This lyrical theme of imperfection and materialism is complemented nicely by its gritty and loose sound.

Sun Room is still sticking to their genuine handcrafted approach despite touring with acts such as Louis Tomlinson and Dublin rock band Inhaler in 2022. The new year will see Sun Room on a West Coast tour, including a hometown show at San Diego’s Soma on February 3rd.
