Pop American duo Tennis returns with a new single titled “Let’s Make a Mistake Tonight”—the second off of their upcoming sixth studio album Pollen to be released on February 10th. “All hubris, attitude, and wish fulfillment…I’m turning water into wine,” said Tennis while describing their new single.
The duo's newest single features a song worthy of dancing to, while showing the quick movement of important life moments and how fleeting they can be. “I’m reshaping my reality through projection or denial. While tracking with Patrick I kept envisioning the same scene: I’m in the passenger’s seat. Patrick drives with one hand on the wheel and one on my thigh. This song plays us out,” said Tennis.
Paired with the release of “Let’s Make a Mistake Tonight,” the official self-directed music video carries a vibrant style that makes the viewer want to dance alongside the duo. With a variety of colors, lighting, and a disco style—the video incorporates the overall flow and theme of the single perfectly, allowing for a seamless viewing and listening experience.
Tennis will be celebrating the release of their new album in the UK on February 14th and 15th before heading to the US starting in March through May 2023. The duo has already sold out dates in London and Washington D.C. with additional dates in said cities having been added due to the high demand.
