Introducing our new column, Live at Supervinyl where we will be covering events happening at our local record store in Los Angeles. 

Justine Dorsey of Near Tears, formerly known as Precious Kid, has returned to live music. Near Tears captures 70’s pop-rock music with her soothing voice. The artist has previously opened up for Wallows and Hunny.

Near Tears performed at Supervinyl in Hollywood singing five tracks, including her most popular songs “Jaded”, and “Was It Worth The Love Song”. Some unreleased songs managed to make it on the set list as well. The one that caught our eye was a song called “Famous” that Dorsey said is an overly nice song about her ex.

Throughout the intimate performance the artist reflected a lot on her life as she sang songs from that she wrote in her early 20’s. As a 25 year old the singer states she is in a much happier place and is grateful for her growth.
