Alice Phoebe Lou Finds “Shelter” In Herself

After two years, independent singer-songwriter Alice Phoebe Lou releases her first single from her soon-to-be-announced album. The Berlin-based artist illustrates the contrast between her hard nature and kind spirit in her latest single “Shelter.”

The subtle bass, the guitar's background strum, and the drum's upbeat pace bring out Lou’s soft voice. Within seconds, the artist brings joy in finding yourself on the track. Lou’s high-pitched singing feels just right, as she outpours the effects of losing herself. The drums added jazzy elements while still sticking to the folk signature sound. Lou’s ability to wind up and down her voice makes the song feel dreamlike.

“Shelter” embodies the beauty of finding peace within yourself. The song finishes with a final message of making the most of what you have while still finding gratitude within yourself.

Alice Phoebe Lou plans to have a full album release later this year — as she just kicked off a worldwide tour. Lou will be performing in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Taiwan, North America, and Europe!
