The track’s sweet tones and vocals were inspired by a time the artist was working in LA for music sessions. Reminiscent of love on the coast, “Beach Boy” transports us into a summer dream.

From New Zealand, she describes the song as a “fantasy set in LA.” The dreamlike melodies are all about being happy alone but still craving that soft spot for someone else, “still wanting some love; wanting the thrill without the pain.”

The song was produced by Greg Kurstin, who has worked with artists such as Adele, Sia, and Beck. BENEE shares her excitement about the collaboration, “It was the first time I’d worked with Greg Kurstin..it was so sick...we got on super well.”

BENEE will be touring across Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and North America throughout 2022. Special guest, Dreamer Boy will be joining BENEE on the North American leg of the tour. You don’t want to miss BENEE’s irresistible dreamy indie-pop tracks live.
