Outside Lands 2022: Artists To Watch

Outside Lands returns to San Francisco for its 14th time at the iconic Golden Gate Park with some of the hottest headliners. This year is bigger than ever including headliners such as SZA, Green Day, Phoebe Bridgers, Mac Demarco, Mitski, and many more.

Apart from the bigger names the lineup is filled with many talented individuals, you will not want to miss. Here is a list of some performers you will not want to miss!

THE BLSSM

THE BLSSM aka Lily Lizotte has lived a whirlwind life and with that, comes a whiplash of truths and personal struggles of the ups-and-downs, anxiety, and depression. Lizotte has explored hip-hop, grunge, shoegaze, and alternative pop, showing their potential is beyond one genre. The artist recently released an all-new EP called PURE ENERGY. The EP encapsulates the pressures of anxiety while Lizotte still finds a way to make it adventurous and profound. The descriptive lyrics paint an image and make you feel in the artist’s mind.

MICHELLE

MICHELLE is a band from New York made up of Sofia D'Angelo, Julian Kaufman, Charlie Kilgore, Layla Ku, Emma Lee, and Jamee Lockard. MICHELLE's music layered vocal harmonies, analog synthesizers, vibrant percussion, and the sonic landscape of the album. Songs hop across genres, from funky R&B to bedroom slow jams to amped-up beat-heavy anthems and more. Their recently released album AFTER DINNER WE TALK DREAMS is a snapshot of a band always adapting and evolving, jutting in and out of each other's lives with this moment being their closest together yet.

Del Water Gap

Jaffe’s self-titled debut album was released last year landing him a spot on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Inner Wave

Inner Wave is a trio of middle school friends from Southern California who will be celebrating their 15th anniversary as a band. Out on September 30th, Apoptosis is a trip into the band's familiar realm of electronic, soul, and garage rock. This time, however, the details are especially intricate, with unexpected synth accents that somehow both meld and stand out.

Briston Maroney

Briston Maroney is a singer from Knoxville, Tennessee who encapsulates indie rock feels throughout his music.
