A Ballad by mazie to Remind Us, “people don’t change”

Sam Plascencia

The Los Angeles-based, Baltimore-raised artist known as mazie has paved a path of modern nostalgia with quintessential pop ballads. Her latest release “people don’t change” follows her single “spinnin,” in addition to her debut EP the rainbow cassette.

“people don’t change” serves as a reminder of accepting people for who they are, as described in the title. The theme of the track lets us into the promising world of mazie. The vibrancy of the single is paralleled with candid lyricism, “I’m alone. I’m so vain. And I love to get my way,” sings mazie.

The artist notes the reality of co-existing relationships and friendships and its flaws throughout “people don’t change.” For better or for worse, mazie makes clear the intentions of who’s in her life. We’re eager to continue listening to mazie as she rises to the highly acclaimed bedroom pop scene.

Returning to the road, don’t miss mazie support COIN on their North American tour from December 2nd to December 19th!
